From Survival to Stability

Sarah and her five children are living in a fragile wooden shack that offers little protection from rain, wind, cold nights, or illness.

Their entire home consists of a single room with a dirt floor. The family cooks, sleeps, and lives together in this small space.

After years of losing homes, loved ones, and opportunities, Sarah continues to do everything she can to care for her family.

Today, we have an opportunity to help this family move from daily survival to lasting stability by providing a safe and permanent home.

This Is Where the Family Lives Today

Large gaps in the walls leave the home exposed to weather and insects.

The roof is deteriorating. The floor is bare earth.

There is little protection for the children during storms or cold nights.

For Sarah and her children, this is not a temporary situation. 
It is the reality they face every day.

A safe home would provide security, protection, and a foundation for a healthier future.

Meet Sarah

Sarah Namutamba is a 38-year-old mother who has spent much of her life overcoming hardship.

After losing her mother at just fourteen years old, Sarah was forced to leave school and work to survive.

As an adult, she endured the loss of two husbands, one in a factory accident and another who drowned while trying to learn a new trade to support his family.

Today, Sarah is raising five children on her own.

Despite years of setbacks, she continues working whenever she can to provide for her children and keep her family together.

Her greatest hope is simple: a safe and permanent place where her children can grow without the constant fear of losing their home.

Five Children Need a Safe Place to Grow 

Every child deserves the opportunity to sleep safely, study comfortably, and grow up in a stable environment.

Today, Sarah's children share a crowded one-room shack that provides little protection from the elements. 

Child sponsorship helps meet some of this family's ongoing needs, but it cannot provide the safe and permanent home they urgently need.

A real home is needed to give them security, dignity, and a healthier place to grow.
