Since emerging from decades of civil war and the devastation of AIDs, estimates indicate that 48% of Uganda’s population is below the age of 15.
Young children suffer disproportionately in the struggle to access healthcare, education and clean water. CARITAS For Children sponsors the most children in Uganda because of the immense need that exists there.
CARITAS has programs in both Northern and Central Uganda.

CARITAS has programs in both Northern and Central Uganda.
In Central Uganda, our ministry is supported by the several local Catholic institutions including schools, parishes, hospitals and others, who are widely loved and respected for providing resources for the impoverished people of the Kampala Archdiocese, Lugazi Diocese, Masaka Diocese and Kasana-Luweero Diocese.
In Northern Uganda (Gulu Archdiocese) we are fortunate to provide our ministry in collaboration with the East African Province of Jesuits in Northern Uganda.
