After two successful water well projects with the help of Fr. Frank Kyazze, a 2017 Graduate of our Sponsor-a-Seminarian program, CARITAS For Children is aiming to build a third water well.

Big Water Tank at Farm

This time, it will be for young boys found at a Seminary in Nyenga.
Here is a 3-minute video of Fr. Frank discussing St. Joseph’s Seminary.

Additionally, Fr. Frank explains that the current water well they are using has a number of challenges:
  • It isn’t easy to access because it's not on the seminary land.
  • It’s expensive to maintain since it is run by electricity.
  • It is old, built in 1980, and no longer provides clean and safe water given the soil erosions and pollution.
  • There are always long lines at this community well and it disorganizes the systematic flow of our seminary program.
Fr. Frank and Team at Seminary

We believe that establishing a deep water well at the Seminary will be an excellent monument to commemorate the 100 years of its existence and help it train future priests for the next 100 years!

The total amount to construct the well will be $22,000 USD.

We currently have an Anonymous Donor who pledged to match up to $11,000 USD for this project. That's 50% of the total cost of creating the water well!

Fr. Frank finishes by saying, “with your positive consideration, we are very hopeful to actualize this great project which is a life-giving project to us as a seminary and the whole community around us. May God bless you.”

Please donate at the very top section of this page. Thank you for contributing to this amazing project.
