Daniel Kaye Kirabo is a resilient and determined young man with a deep calling to serve others. His journey has been filled with challenges, but also with remarkable perseverance.
Daniel’s parents are both alive, but his father abandoned the family years ago and has not been seen or heard from since. This left Daniel’s mother—who was a housewife—with the full responsibility of raising the children. She now works as a peasant farmer, but her income is extremely limited and insufficient to support Daniel’s education.
Daniel lost his long-time sponsor and was forced to leave school due to lack of tuition. Still, he didn’t give up. He approached a school headed by a priest and humbly asked to work in the school garden in exchange for the chance to attend classes. The priest graciously agreed, and Daniel was welcomed as a school dependent, a term in Uganda that refers to students who are supported by the school in exchange for work. He spent all three school breaks—90 days in total—working hard in the garden while attending all his classes.
Daniel has excelled academically and is now preparing to complete secondary school. He has the qualifications to join the Major Seminary, where he hopes to continue his journey toward becoming a priest. Daniel’s greatest desire is to preach the Word of God, and he also dreams of becoming a doctor, so he can help heal both the body and the soul.
His favorite subject is biology, and he especially loves singing, which brings him joy and peace.
Daniel now needs a sponsor to help him take the next step. Your support can make a life-changing difference for him—opening the door to both Seminary and future service as a priest and healer.
