''The Good Shepherd Sunday''-FOURTH SUNDAY OF EASTER

''The Good Shepherd Sunday''-FOURTH SUNDAY OF EASTER

John 10:1- 10

Dear friends,

Today we celebrate the Good Shepherd Sunday.the-good-shepherd
In the Gospel Jesus says is the good Shepherd. He saying so because He is the one who defends us, takes care of us, makes us feel secure, never loses us, and He even lays down his life so that we may have life to the full.

This is the challenge Jesus poses to each one of us; parents, mothers, fathers, family heads, guardians, church leaders, government, Caritas for children members etc.

As Jesus looks at the world today, he sees a world that is in a leadership Crisis . A world that is Shepherd-less. A society in economic Crisis, political unrest, wars, social decay and the global epidemic of Corona Virus. However, some of our leaders have left us down! When we look around in this time of Crisis; we wonder, where the good Shepherd are?

Where are our good leaders?
The good news is there is always hope. God promised his people that he will give them Shepherds after his own heart. This promise was fulfilled in Jesus Christ the Good Shepherd. Indeed, what the world needs now are true Shepherds after the example of Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd.
Let us not lament over our darkness!! Let us light our candle by serving, loving and leading like The Risen Christ, the Good Shepherd.
