Our Lord Jesus Christ taught his apostles to love children and to let the children's innocence be a model. We are expected to follow this teaching.
In Mark 9:13-16, he rebukes his apostles for not welcoming children. In a teaching moment, Jesus tells his apostles that they need to be more like these children and accept the kingdom of God with the openness and innocence of a child.
May our love for children motivate us to provide for their guidance and needs. We need to offer our prayers for the welfare of all children. Let us pray for God's mercy and love for children.
