Shifrah Nakabuye
Shifrah Nakabuye stays with her mother and five siblings_ the where abouts of the father are not known. The mother is a famer who cultivates crops for food and the surplus for sell to earn a living. The income of the mother can not make the children go to school to study. Shifrah has been getting education assistance from CARITAS for children Till recently when she lost her long term sponsorship. Shifrah is a very bright girls who wants to become a Doctor and she needs immediate assistance if she is to reach her destiny.

St. Francis of Assisi (Lugazi)
In the Lugazi Diocese, CARITAS finds some of the poorest families in all of Uganda. Because of St. Francis of Assisi's great love for the poor, he is the patron of this community. We pray for his intercession so that more children in this diocese have a chance to overcome the poverty that they have always known.
