Rosemary, her siblings and her mother escaped from her father after enduring terrible fights and domestic violence. Her father nearly killed her mom one night when he was drunk and high off drugs.

Rosemary’s mother moved her 5 children to her parents’ home, but they sadly died after some years. Now the family lives alone in the home, with no support or visitation from their abusive father.

A small piece of land belonging to Rosemary’s grandparents is their only way for her mother to provide them with food. She sells some of the produce to pay for other needs, but she cannot afford to send the children to school. Rosemary is a confident girl who hopes to become a nurse when she grows up if she gets the chance to finish her education.
