After the deaths of both her parents, Renisha and her siblings went to live with their grandmother. This woman is around 81 years old, and used to weave baskets to earn money to support the family. Unfortunately, her poor health especially the eye challenge now prevents her from doing this work: she suffers from high blood pressure, back and leg pain and she cannot see well.
The family now works together to do gardening work to earn some money, and thankfully their neighbors are able to help them with some food. Renisha dreams of becoming a doctor when she grows up, but there is no way she will be able to finish her education without a sponsorship. She is a friendly little girl who loves to dance. Her siblings Josam Lukwago and Joyce Namuddu are both sponsored through Caritas and now in school.
