Pretty is the youngest of four children in a family that is doing its best to get by with very limited resources. Her father works as a door-to-door compound cleaner in their village, earning about $25 a month. His work depends on when neighbors can afford to hire him, so income is inconsistent and sometimes he goes days or weeks without a job.

Pretty’s mother farms on a small scale to grow food for the family, but the harvest is rarely enough to meet their needs. Despite all her hard work, the children often go without enough to eat.

Pretty is a bright and friendly girl who loves learning and dreams of becoming a doctor. But without support, continuing school may not be possible. Her parents, who deeply hope for a better future for their children, have reached out to CARITAS For Children in hopes that someone might help.
