Pavin Mary Nakazibwe
Pavin Mary stays with her both of her parents who struggle to earn a living through doing odd jobs like selling charcoal, firewood and some food crops. Her father is a teacher in one of the emerging schools in Nkokonjeru Town council but his salary is simply not enough to make ends meet. With 5 children total, the family has difficulty affording even the most basic needs.
Due to the financial constraints, Pavin Mary's attendance at school has been irregular, as her father struggles to provide the necessary school requirements. To help her realize her dream of becoming a teacher, Pavin Mary is in need of assistance through CARITAS for Children.

St. Francis of Assisi (Lugazi)
In the Lugazi Diocese, CARITAS finds some of the poorest families in all of Uganda. Because of St. Francis of Assisi's great love for the poor, he is the patron of this community. We pray for his intercession so that more children in this diocese have a chance to overcome the poverty that they have always known.

Young children suffer disproportionately in the struggle to access healthcare, education, and clean water.
