Michell is experiencing life of a single parent at that tender age of hers. The father passed on after suffering from a combination of several illnesses that included high blood pressure, Diabetes and peptic ulcers. This unhappy incident that befell the family has had a great impact on them as in some instances t fail to find what to eat.

The mother struggles to make ends meet by growing some crops on a small piece of land that is owned by the family and keeps domestic animals like chicken, pigs a goat. These are kept with the purpose of meeting school obligations which some time is a failure because there is always a need to wait for the animals to mature.

Mechell goes to school and is a promising learner. She enjoys dancing so much and usually entertains visitors who happen to visit the school. When asked what she would like to be int the future, the answer was a nurse.
