Maggie Nakayenga
Since the passing of her father, Maggie’s family has faced severe financial hardship. Her mother, once a stay-at-home parent, has struggled to find stable work to provide for the family's basic needs.
She tried selling charcoal to earn a living, but frequent losses—caused by customers failing to pay—made the business unsustainable. As a result, the family often lacks essentials like food and clothing, and Maggie’s school attendance has suffered.
Despite these challenges, Maggie is a bright and determined student. With the right support, she can return to school consistently and reach her full potential.

St. Francis of Assisi (Lugazi)
In the Lugazi Diocese, CARITAS finds some of the poorest families in all of Uganda. Because of St. Francis of Assisi's great love for the poor, he is the patron of this community. We pray for his intercession so that more children in this diocese have a chance to overcome the poverty that they have always known.
