Lovin has been living with her mother since the passing of her father, who died suddenly after a short illness. Because the family could not afford a postmortem, they never received full answers. His death left them in a small, rented one-room home, and paying the rent has been a constant struggle for her mother.
To provide for her children, Lovin’s mother sells charcoal, tomatoes, and other small food items. Despite her hard work, she earns very little—just enough to cover basic daily needs. With the many burdens of widowhood, she is unable to pay her children’s school fees consistently, which has affected their ability to attend school.
Lovin has been attending classes off and on since she was three years old, but each new term brings the same challenge: her mother cannot save enough to meet the school requirements. Lovin is a bright young girl with tremendous potential, but the instability at home threatens her progress and makes it difficult for her to keep up with her classmates.
Her mother has reached out to CARITAS For Children seeking support, hoping Lovin can finally have steady attendance, a more secure learning environment, and the opportunity to thrive.
