Lincoln is one of five children living with his single mother, a peasant farmer who works tirelessly to provide daily meals for the family. His mother had two elder children from a previous relationship, and one of them, Solomon, has a physical disability. Solomon’s father abandoned them after Solomon became disabled following a prolonged illness. Despite this hardship, Lincoln’s mother remained dedicated to her children.
Later, she met another man with whom she had Lincoln. Unfortunately, when Lincoln turned about a year old, this man also abandoned the family, citing the disability of Solomon as the reason. Once again, Lincoln’s mother found herself alone, raising three children and struggling to provide for them.
She managed to secure a job at a home for people with disabilities, where she took care of children like Solomon. However, the job did not provide enough food for her three children, so she eventually left. She later met another man, a peasant farmer, and they had two more children. Despite her hopes, the family's financial situation remained dire, and keeping the children in school became a significant challenge.
Lincoln was fortunate to receive sponsorship from a CARITAS For Children sponsor family, which supported his education from his first day in school. However, this sponsorship ended last year, 2023, due to the sponsor's financial difficulties. Now, Lincoln is in need of a new sponsor to continue his studies.
Lincoln dreams of becoming a medical worker if he can complete his education. He is a happy, hardworking, and friendly boy who loves caring for animals at home and takes pride in keeping his clothes clean. Sponsorship will ensure that Lincoln can continue his education and work towards achieving his dream.
