Khassim’s father passed on due to Kidney failure. The mother has been struggling to make ends meet through being employed as a garden worker so as to have what to eat and the surplus sold to cater for the family needs. The income from the little food sold cannot be enough to pay for Khassim’s fees.
Khassim has been attending classes but not on a regular basis because he has been lacking what is needed at school. This has made him miss lessons and as such leading to poor academic performance.
If Khassim is assisted through CARITAS for children , he will be able to realize his dream of becoming a doctor.
Khassim's two siblings are also in the CARITAS program, Sophia and Sukur.

St. Francis of Assisi (Lugazi)
In the Lugazi Diocese, CARITAS finds some of the poorest families in all of Uganda. Because of St. Francis of Assisi's great love for the poor, he is the patron of this community. We pray for his intercession so that more children in this diocese have a chance to overcome the poverty that they have always known.
