His body was recovered four days later after a search involving special police divers. Since then, David and his family have faced immense challenges.

David's mother, now the sole provider for eight children, works hard to make ends meet. She raises domestic animals like pigs, chickens, and goats, and grows bananas to generate a small income. Despite these efforts, the financial strain on the family is significant, making it difficult to cover the children's educational expenses.
