After the death of her father in a motor accident, Chinyere's mother became the sole provider for their five children. She works as a merchant, trading small things like firewood, food items, and charcoal. This job generates very little income, and she struggles tremendously to afford basic necessities for her children.

Although the family's financial situation is precarious, Chinyere's is an enthusiastic and smart girl. She loves to sing, and she has a passion for reading which helps her significantly with her studies. She recently lost her sponsor, and is in need of a new one in order to continue her studies. Sadly, her mother is unable to afford her education, but Chinyere is hopeful and excited to return to school if she is sponsored.
