Ben’s father died and it left his mother all alone with two children. Being that she was unemployed, the only thing she could do was grow food for home consumption.

Ben’s mother wanted to be with them and not give them up so she worked hard to keep them alive and together. After a couple of years, she decided to marry a local man who allowed her two children to live with them. Even though they are now together taking care of the children, this man's income is too small to support the whole family in terms of education.

Ben felt very blessed for a short time as a sponsor from CARITAS for Children decided to help. Sadly, due to the global COVID 19 issues, his sponsor had to cancel the sponsorship. Ben has had to leave his schooling for now but continues to be jovial and hopeful as he helps his mom with the gardening at home, however, he wishes to go back to school one day soon. His dream is to be a teacher when he grows up but needs a sponsor if he is to continue his education.

Since Ben has a stable roof over his head, all he needs is a Day School secondary school sponsorship ($48/month) to get a Catholic Education, daily meals, clean water, and an opportunity to be guided and counseled in school during his formative years.
