Austine is one of five children in a family that faces significant financial challenges, living well below the poverty line. Providing even a single meal a day for the children is a considerable struggle for the parents. To alleviate this, the children often turn to their grandmother for support. The parents make a meager living through various odd jobs such as making charcoal, gardening for others, and fetching water for neighbors.

Despite these challenges, Austine attends a privately owned primary school near his home. He is an active and enthusiastic boy, participating in various extracurricular activities like singing, dancing, and playing musical instruments, especially the drum. While his academic performance is fairly good, additional assistance could enable him to focus more on his studies and achieve even better grades.

Austine aspires to be an accountant, inspired by one of his uncles working in a bank in Uganda. With support, he could have the opportunity to pursue his dream and improve his family's circumstances.
