Annet’s father abandoned the family years ago when she was only three years old. They have heard that he has since remarried but he is not in contact with them and does not offer them any support.

Despite having no education or training, Annet’s mother needed to provide for her three daughters. A kind friend taught her some basic tailoring skills, and she managed to learn enough to get some sewing work. For a while, a head teacher at a nearby school gave the family a room to live in so that Annet’s mother could repair students uniforms but unfortunately they had to vacate due to COVID-19. The family is now staying with a friend while their mother desperately looks for sewing work to earn a living, and she simply cannot afford school fees for her children.

Annet and her younger sister Ferister need sponsorship to attend school, and if she is able to finish her education she would love to work in fashion.
