Winnie and her siblings have faced significant challenges in their young lives. They initially lived with their maternal grandmother until her passing in 2019. After her death, the children had to fend for themselves, but their mother, who had previously abandoned them, reappeared and took them to a convent to be cared for by nuns. However, their mother left them once again, and Winnie and her sister Stella remained in the care of the nuns while their older siblings started their own lives.

Despite the tumultuous and uncertain circumstances in her life, Winnie is a remarkably hardworking and dedicated girl. She has a strong passion for learning and aspires to become a medical worker so she can make a positive difference in her community.

Winnie has spent most of her life at the convent and school, under the care of the IHMR sisters who have provided her with love and support. However, the sisters are unable to fully cover all the costs associated with Winnie and Stella's education. They believe in Winnie's potential and are seeking assistance with their school fees, knowing that with the right support, Winnie can work toward achieving her dream of becoming a medical worker and contributing to her community's well-being.

About my country:
Uganda
Known as the "Pearl of Africa," Uganda is located on the shores of Lake Victoria in the Great Lakes region of East Africa. Since emerging from decades of civil war and the devastation of AIDs, estimates indicate that 48% of Uganda's population is below the age of 15. Young children suffer disproportionately in the struggle to access healthcare, education, and clean water.
