Parvin Nankinga
Parvin and her mother are going through a difficult time. Her mother, formerly a nurse at a private clinic, recently lost her job due to not meeting updated government qualification requirements. At the same time, Parvin’s father abandoned the family and cannot be reached.
To make things more challenging, Parvin’s mother is diabetic and often struggles with her health, making it difficult to find new work or pursue additional training.
Despite these hardships, Parvin is a bright student with a passion for learning. She dreams of becoming a nurse like her mother. With sponsorship, Parvin can continue her education and work toward a brighter future for herself and her family.

St. Francis of Assisi (Lugazi)
In the Lugazi Diocese, CARITAS finds some of the poorest families in all of Uganda. Because of St. Francis of Assisi's great love for the poor, he is the patron of this community. We pray for his intercession so that more children in this diocese have a chance to overcome the poverty that they have always known.

Since emerging from decades of civil war and the devastation of AIDs, estimates indicate that 48% of Uganda's population is below the age of 15. Young children suffer disproportionately in the struggle to access healthcare, education, and clean water.
