Lucia (Ruth) lost her sponsor of many years after 2020 and badly needs a new one so that she can complete her education. She shows much promise and will go on to accomplish great things if she receives this help.

Ruth is a very clever girl who has been living with nuns in their convent. The sisters took her in after they noticed a little ragged girl hanging around in several different gardens. Her parents were peasants who worked in those gardens and their little daughter would follow them around. The sisters offered to take her in so that they could look after her.

Ruth received a boarding school sponsorship after going to live with the sisters and she made good progress in her schooling. She has shown great promise in her studies and stayed at the top of her class. Unfortunately, without a sponsorship the sisters can’t support her for the rest of her education. She has a great chance of succeeding in her dream of studying medicine one day, but she needs sponsorship to finish secondary school first.

To help Ruth go to boarding school, she needs $150/month from one sponsor or $75/month from two sponsors.
