Kevin’s parents were peasant farmers, but her father abandoned the family and remarried, leaving her mother to shoulder all the responsibilities alone. With no formal training or access to skilled work, Kevin's mother now earns a small income by taking on jobs like washing clothes for others in their village.

Her earnings are barely enough to cover the family’s most basic needs, making it impossible to afford school fees. For Kevin to be safe, stable, and well cared for, boarding school is the best option—but it’s currently out of reach.

Kevin is a bright girl with a special love for English and a talent for dance, especially Uganda’s traditional dances. With the support of a sponsor, she would have the opportunity to complete her education and move closer to achieving her dreams.
