Franyelis was brought to the Teresa Toda Orphanage by her father, Mr. José, and her grandmother, who are both concerned about the little girl’s safety in their current living situation. Her mother is a woman of the street and her father does not want her to be exposed to that example, so he was forced to bring his daughter to work with him during the day so that she would not be alone at home.
Worried about the dangers that his daughter would face at home, Mr. José agreed that Franyelis should come and live at the orphanage instead. Being raised by the Carmelite Sisters will keep Franyelis safe, and a sponsorship will enable her to become well-educated and possibly even pursue her dream of becoming a doctor when she grows up!
To help Franyelis go to boarding school, she needs $90/month from one sponsor or $45/month from two sponsors.
