Erios lives with her mother in a single rented room in the suburbs of Nkokonjeru Town. Erios' mother has had a complicated life. She dropped out of school after getting pregnant and her parents kicked her out of their home and told her to fend for herself. She tried to live with the father of her unborn child, but he wasn't ready to be a parent and ran away from that responsibility. Erios' mother was heartbroken and confused.
Eventually, she was able to find a job as a housemaid and a small room to stay in on the outskirts of town. After she gave birth, the family who employed her decided to let her go. Now, she has been able to rent a small piece of land to grow crops to feed herself and Erios, and sell the extra for their basic needs.
Erios is a hardworking girl with a lot of promise. Her mother has requested assistance from CARITAS For Children to cover school fees for her daughter. If assisted, Erios will be able to stay in school, and hopefully one day she will be able to realize her dream of being a nurse.
