Christine Tuhaise
Christine is a kind and determined girl who dreams of becoming a nurse. She recently lost her longtime sponsor and now needs new support to continue her education at boarding school.
Her father, formerly a school cook, became disabled after a serious accident and is no longer able to work. Since then, the family has faced growing challenges—especially after Christine’s mother left. Her father cares deeply for his children but is limited in what he can provide.
Christine is eager to continue her studies, and with sponsorship, she’ll be able to stay in school and work toward her goals. Her younger sister, Jane Atugonza, is also in need of a sponsor.

In the Lugazi Diocese, CARITAS finds some of the poorest families in all of Uganda. Because of St. Francis of Assisi's great love for the poor, he is the patron of this community. We pray for his intercession so that more children in this diocese have a chance to overcome the poverty that they have always known.

Young children suffer disproportionately in the struggle to access healthcare, education, and clean water.
