Audrey lives with her parents and siblings on the outskirts of a small trading center. Her family has a two-roomed house that is on the verge of collapsing. It's so small that when it comes time to sleep, there is always a scramble for places in the sitting room where the children sleep on the floor sharing the limited bedding.

Generally, the family only gets one proper meal per day, dinner, which is shared at 5pm. During the day, the children spend their time looking for fruits and other raw food to keep them going until they get their shared meal.

The parents do some odd jobs like collecting firewood from the jungle around their home which they sell in order to buy home essentials like soap, salt, and sugar for their children.

Audrey's education is supported by one of her aunts, but her aunt has her own family to look after, and she is likely to stop offering help in the near future because of the mounting expenses of her own children. If Audrey is assisted, she will be able to realize her dream of being a doctor.
