#3 in the ''Ugandan Journey'' Series

12743489_10154069890464905_163558944945174084_n-1.jpgThe missionaries traveled to Uganda for three weeks in 2015 and three months in 2016. They volunteered and worked with special needs children and adults, as well as helping out in a number of local schools during their time in Nkokonjeru.

Almost every day in Uganda we saw or experienced something that made us feel we were back in the 50's in America; with the simplicity, wonder, and kindness we grew up with.

Moses and Gerard, two of the sweetest young men you'll ever meet, saw us waiting for the bus to Jinja one morning as they came out of Morning Mass, and decided they needed to walk over and say good morning.

After a short exchange, the boys excused themselves and headed home for breakfast and work.

Walking away, they naturally and innocently held hands, and the first thing we both felt in the moment was how perfect, how special, how Mayberry-like the people of Uganda were.
