Love Your Neighbor

Who is our neighbor?

In response to this question, Jesus tells us the parable of the Good Samaritan, teaching us that those we must love are often the people whom the world least expects us to have anything to do with.

As Christians, we are called to recognize Christ in every human being, whether they live near or far, have the same skin color, the same nationality, the same social standing…or not.

We don’t have to have these superficial similarities to other people if we realize that all people are made in the image and likeness of God, and therefore, are worthy of our love and care.

Christ teaches us to recognize everyone we may encounter as our neighbor, and to love them as He loves them. A simple directive, yet a heavy responsibility to carry out.

Sadly, there are still too many people in this world who feel unloved, unwanted, whom no one has ever extended a neighborly hand to.

As we make our way toward the end of 2022 and celebrate the Birth of Our Lord, we pray you will consider loving the neighbors you encounter through CARITAS For Children.

As you prepare to make your year-end donations, please prayerfully consider making your gift of $25, $50, $100, $250, or whatever amount you wish to CARITAS For Children.

Your gift will go far in showing our brothers and sisters that they are made in God’s image and that their neighbors around the world love them.

Through the generosity of donors like you around the world, CARITAS For Children is able to minister to our brothers and sisters in need in many ways - sponsoring children, university students and seminarians for their education, providing emergency funds to assist with disaster relief, and helping out with special projects when the need arises.

Your support makes it possible to give hope to children who have none, food to the hungry, clothing to the naked, and most importantly, love to those who are unloved.

By making your year-end gift to CARITAS, you can love your neighbor in a way that gives them the little bit of help they need to reach their God-given potential.

Give today to help a child experience real love, maybe for the first time in their life.
