After the deaths of both his parents, Josam and his siblings went to live with their grandmother. This woman is around 80 years old, and used to weave baskets to earn money to support the family. Unfortunately, her poor health now prevents her from doing this work: she suffers from high blood pressure, back and leg pain and she cannot see well.
The family now works together to do gardening work to earn some money, and thankfully their neighbors are able to help them with some food. Josam dreams of becoming a mechanical engineer when he grows up, but there is no way he will be able to finish his education without a sponsorship. He is a friendly boy who enjoys soccer. His siblings Joyce Namuddu and Renisha Nonnono are both available for sponsorship as well.
