Angella’s parents are both in a very sad state. Her father is a drunkard who spends everything he earns on alcohol. His drinking problem forced the nuns who were employing him as a gardener to let him go, and he now has no job and is not providing for his family at all.

Her mother has mental issues that prevent her from keeping up steady work, although she sometimes does gardening work for the Franciscan sisters when she is feeling alright. This means however that she cannot afford to keep her children in school.

Angella and her siblings are currently living with their grandmother who is an elderly peasant farmer. She will need sponsorship if she is going to have any chance of finishing her education. Angella is a kind little girl who would like to become a nurse when she grows up if she is able to complete her schooling. Her brother Cosmas Onyango is also available for sponsorship.
